Contemporary Values and Classical Ethics

This research guide is designed to support you work in the Contemporary Values and Classical Ethics Class (ETH CC 120). In the course you will examine different ways in which values and ethics have been conceptualized throughout history from ancient Egypt and Greece to 17th century Europe. You will draw from a variety of disciplines including theology, philosophy, anthropology, history and literature and will be asked to think about how ethical reasoning and critical thinking apply in your own life and in the modern world.  This guide points toward resources available through the library and online to help you with this work.
